Organizational Assessment
A tailored diagnosis gives you an accurate picture of engagement, culture or a specific operational issue. We combine questionnaire surveys with qualitative validation so that the results lead to conclusions you can base decisions on.
Denison Culture Model
Licensed / external methodologyCulture diagnostics with international benchmark data, backed by decades of research.
- Provides an objective, benchmark-based picture of the organization's own culture
- Compares the results with an international database
- Directions for culture development can be derived from the assessment
The Denison Culture Model was developed by Daniel Denison and his colleagues on the basis of more than 25 years of research. The model contains the cultural dimensions that showed the strongest link to business performance: it describes organizational culture along twelve dimensions, grouped into four broader traits. The assessment is an anonymous online or paper-based questionnaire in which employees rate statements on all twelve dimensions. We compare the results with Denison's international benchmark: for every statement and every dimension, the report shows in percentiles where the organization stands relative to other companies. The benchmark contains half a million completed questionnaires from around a thousand companies of different industries, sizes and countries, and it is updated every two years. The model speaks the language of business: rather than measuring the organization's psychodynamics, it measures the behaviors that are visible in day-to-day operations and directly affect performance, so the results translate easily into concrete, accountable actions, and the model's concepts give the organization a shared language for its own culture.

What is the program about?
A questionnaire survey online or on paper, with qualitative validation, results processing and communication support; the Denison Culture Model is available as an international tool.
You can guess a lot about an organization, but development decisions should only be based on what can be measured. An assessment gives you exactly that: an accurate picture of where the organization stands today in terms of engagement, culture or a specific operational issue, and of what lies behind the numbers.
What your organization gets: a tailored, validated diagnosis of the organization's current state; where the methodology allows, results measured against an international benchmark; processed, interpreted data for leadership decisions; support in launching action plans and communicating the results across the organization.
Who is the program for?
For organizations planning an engagement, culture or motivation survey, and for leaders who want to tailor the focus of the survey to their own organization's questions. It is especially timely when you need a complete diagnosis of where the organization stands today.
When is it worth starting?
- the reasons behind shifts in engagement or motivation are not visible from day-to-day operations
- organizational culture needs to be measured in a way that can be compared with an international benchmark.
How we work
We don't leave the organization alone with the results: we present them at leadership level and to the wider organization, and we support the development and follow-through of action plans. The methods we use include comprehensive diagnostics, engagement surveys and culture surveys, the latter with an international benchmark.
We always tailor the survey to the organization in question. We draw on a methodological base built up over several decades: tools we have developed in-house and international methodologies such as the Denison Culture Model, which makes results comparable against an international benchmark. We validate the questionnaire data with qualitative methods so that the report provides not just numbers but also explanations and conclusions you can base decisions on.
The assessment starts with agreeing the focus with the client: exactly which questions we are looking to answer, in what depth and with what breakdown. The survey can be run both online and on paper, so employees who work without a computer can be included as well.
Methods we use
- comprehensive organizational diagnostics
- engagement survey
- culture survey, with an international benchmark based on the Denison Culture Model
- motivation survey
- qualitative validation alongside the questionnaire results.
After analyzing the data, we can also support communicating the results across the organization if needed. The scope and timeline of the assessment depend on the project.
It's also worth starting if:
- the results of an earlier survey were never turned into action, and this time you also need an action plan and internal communication.
