Motivational Maps
Licensed / external methodologyDeveloped by James Sale, this assessment tool makes individual, team and organizational motivation measurable, with a concrete action plan.
- Questionnaire-based assessment, with a report and feedback
- Produces an individual and a team-level motivational map
- A concrete development action plan is built on the report
Motivational Maps is a typology and assessment tool developed by James Sale that measures individual, team and organizational motivation and maps it along a set of motivators: what drives someone, and how much of it they get in their current situation. Once the questionnaire has been evaluated, participants interpret the report with an accredited trainer or coach, learn the basics of the model and reflect on their own and their team's motivation; the process always ends with action planning, so that the assessment leads to intervention. The model can support team performance, employee retention, employee engagement and change management alike. GROW also runs the Motivational Maps Licensed Practitioner Training, and our reports are also available in Hungarian.

What is the program about?
Half-day workshop and/or individual coaching of at least one hour, in person or online, built on the Motivational Maps questionnaire.
Motivation can be measured. Motivational Maps is a model and measurement tool developed by James Sale, the creator of the methodology, that measures the motivation of the individual, the team and the organization as a whole, and maps it along motivators: what drives someone, and how much of it they are getting in their current situation. This gives leaders a picture of what day-to-day operations do not reveal.
What you take away: knowledge of your own and your team's motivation levels and motivators; identification of any needs for motivational development; a motivational toolkit built around the motivators.

How we work
Participants complete the questionnaire before the program, and an accredited Motivational Maps trainer or coach interprets the results with them, individually or in a workshop. The program always ends with action planning, so that the measurement turns into real development.
After the questionnaire has been evaluated, participants interpret the results with an accredited Motivational Maps trainer or coach, in individual coaching or a group workshop, learn the basics of the model, and reflect on their own and their team's motivation.
We interpret the results of the questionnaire developed by James Sale with an accredited professional and turn them into a shared action plan.
It is based on the Motivational Maps questionnaire, which participants complete before the program.
