Managing Change, Building Awareness

This training is for leaders who want to see an organizational transformation through, even in the face of internal resistance.

Length 1–2 days
Development format training
How it works Group · in person or online · Thod support available on request

What is the program about?

A 1- or 2-day group training, in person or online, built on the Change Agility Framework (CAFE); Thod support available on request.

Launching a change is easy; seeing it through when part of the team resists is the real work of leadership. Resistance is rarely ill will; more often it is a natural reaction to uncertainty, and a leader who understands how change works can work with it instead of fighting it.

What you take away: an understanding of the individual and group dynamics of change; the ability to anticipate and handle difficult situations; a practical toolkit for strengthening your own role as a change manager, and ready-made plans for your own initiatives and for organizational change.

Who is the program for?

For leaders who want to see an organizational transformation through, even in the face of internal resistance. It is especially timely when leaders need to launch a change process in the organization and guide it through to completion.

When is it worth starting?

  • you have to deal with resistance from within during a change
  • it matters that employees don't just accept the change but experience it positively.

How we work

We move from the stages of the change curve and managing resistance to the role of communication: the aim is for employees not only to accept the change but to understand it and make it their own. The Change Agility Framework (CAFE) provides the toolkit.

The goal is to reduce the uncertainty that comes with change and to sustain employee motivation over the long term.

Building on the Change Agility Framework (CAFE), we practice how to involve the people affected and support the transition on the human side as well.

Program topics

  • the CAFE framework
  • the psychology of change
  • characteristics of change, the stages of the change curve from the perspective of supporting employees
  • the dynamics of change, managing resistance
  • the role of communication in the change process, the rules of the “story”.

Delivery

We tailor the weighting of the topics to the client organization's situation. On request, we support the program with the Thod learning support system, which helps participants keep applying what they have learned between training days.

It is also worth starting if:

  • the uncertainty that comes with change needs to be reduced and motivation sustained over the long term
  • you need a ready-made toolkit and plan for a specific initiative or organizational change.
