Change Management Mentoring

This one-to-one process is for in-house development professionals and leaders looking for tailored support during a specific transformation. Over six sessions, in person or online, we work on your own situation, building on the CAFE framework.

How it works One-to-one, in person or online, as needed

What is the program about?

A 6-session one-to-one mentoring process, an hour and a half per session, in person or online, built on the CAFE framework.

Generational handover, change of ownership, merger, expansion, a new market: in the middle of change projects, in-house development professionals and leaders are often left alone with the decisions. Change Management Mentoring is designed for exactly this situation: deliberate, ongoing professional support for a specific, current project, with an experienced change management expert.

What you take away: a framework and strategy instead of ad hoc reactions; knowing when to step in, whom to build alliances with and when it is better to step back; the ability to prioritize so you avoid burnout, and a more confident professional presence, even in front of senior leaders.

Built on Change Agility Framework (CAFE)

Who is the program for?

For in-house development professionals, HR professionals, OD practitioners and leaders who are running a specific change project.

When is it worth starting?

  • a change project has stalled and needs an outside, expert perspective
  • a generational handover is under way and the old team is struggling to accept the new style.

How we work

The mentor doesn't hand over their own recipe; instead, with a project mindset and coaching tools, they help you take a fresh look at the situation and find your own solutions, building knowledge and methods that remain useful for the next transformation too. The six sessions can be reduced or extended as needed, and we always work on the participant's current change project.

We work over six sessions, in person or online, building on the CAFE framework.

Typical topics

  • being stuck in a change project
  • managing a generational handover and a change of style
  • the leadership challenges of a family business growing into a larger company
  • communicating the launch of a new service or market to the team
  • expansion and handling the related employee resistance
  • tensions from redistributing tasks because of labor shortages
  • managing cultural differences between merging or cooperating organizations.

It's also worth starting if:

  • a new service or market has arrived, but the team doesn't understand what it means
  • expansion is planned, but your colleagues only see extra work in it
  • tasks redistributed because of labor shortages have created tension
  • two merging or cooperating companies cannot find a common language and culture
  • your family business has grown into a larger company, and it is hard to bridge the old values and the new goals.
