Team coaching
This process is for teams that want to work together through the difficult phases of integrating new members, delivering a project or going through a change. By bringing the group's dynamics into awareness, we strengthen collaboration and create an action plan you can track.
What is the program about?
A coaching process with the whole team, with the number and scheduling of sessions tailored to the team's situation.
A team rarely gets stuck because its members are not good enough. More often, it is because the team has to welcome a new leader, fine-tune a complex project or go through a change, or has simply run out of momentum. Team coaching is designed for exactly these situations: jointly working through a problem the company is facing right now, or an ongoing project, in pursuit of a goal the team feels is its own.
What you take away: a stronger sense of community and team spirit, greater motivation and commitment; growing skills in project management, systems thinking, conflict management, problem solving and communication, along with better decision-making, delegation and deadline management; a more conscious recognition of individual and group resources; and a concrete, trackable, measurable action plan.
Who is the program for?
For teams that want to work through a difficult phase together. It is especially timely if a newly appointed leader needs to be integrated into the team, or if the management of a complex professional project needs fine-tuning.
When is it worth starting?
- the team is in the middle of managing a change
- there has been a drop in performance, a motivational slump or a crisis
- the impact of an earlier training program needs to be deepened through follow-up.
How we work
Every process ends with an action plan so that the change can be tracked and measured, and along the way the underlying team issues come to the surface: roles, goals, frameworks, trust, commitment, conflict, accountability. The coach chooses the methods to fit the situation, not in advance.
Team coaching is a tool for supporting change and development that focuses on jointly working through a current problem or ongoing project. Its aim is to align and develop the group's collective capabilities in pursuit of a shared goal, improve willingness to collaborate, and increase effectiveness at the individual, group and organizational levels.
Team issues that surface during the process
- open communication and honesty, both as a leader and as a team member
- each individual's place and role in the team, and clarifying roles
- defining goals and tasks
- operating structures and frameworks
- commitment to the goal, the project, the team and the organization
- trust: self-confidence, trust in one another and trust at the organizational level
- aligning individual and group interests
- facing up to conflicts within the group and across the company
- taking responsibility at the individual and group level.
Using a variety of methods chosen to suit the situation, the coach helps group members gain insight into how they and their colleagues operate, and find new professional solutions by building on the collective strengths and motivating factors they have identified. The process harnesses the power of group dynamics, fosters experiential learning, develops personal and collective competencies, makes synergies visible, and makes it possible to break out of habitual routines and professional patterns. Used regularly, it is the foundation of continuous, sustainable development.
