Individual Competency Development
Focused development for one or two people in a specific competency.
What is the program about?
A mini training for one or two people, tailored to the selected competency.
When an employee needs to develop one specific competency, group training is often too general, and individual coaching is a different format altogether.
Who is the program for?
For one or two employees or leaders who need targeted development in a well-defined competency.
When is it worth starting?
- one or two people lack a specific competency, and group training is not justified
- the development has a narrow, well-defined focus.
How we work
We tailor the content of the training to the selected competency and to the participant's actual work situations. With such a small group, there is far more practice and feedback than in a group training: every exercise starts from the participant's own tasks, and the trainer gives immediate feedback.
The format therefore sits between group training and individual coaching.
Its sister program is On-the-Job Coaching, which delivers the same targeted development in the field, through shadowing, for negotiation and sales techniques. If the competency to be developed is tied to client situations, the two can be combined.
It is also worth starting if:
- what is learned needs to be tailored to the situations of a specific role.
