Bridge Training Cross-Generation
This two-day program is for leaders who want to motivate, lead and retain employees from different age groups.
What is the program about?
A 2-day group training, in person or online; also available with Thod support.
What you take away: an understanding of the differences and characteristics of each generation, with a picture of their career expectations and workplace needs; concrete tools for building communication across generations, a kind of dictionary for the new generations; support in developing a leadership style, strategy and toolkit tailored to each generation.
Who is the program for?
For leaders who motivate, lead and retain employees from different age groups. It is especially timely when generational differences within the team are making collaboration or communication harder.
When is it worth starting?
- your leadership tools and communication style need to be adapted to the needs of different generations
- generational tensions need to be bridged in a shared project.
How we work
The two days are built around a value-creating project in which participants use situational exercises to try out how generational differences can be bridged in real situations. Along the way, a kind of dictionary for the new generations takes shape: what loyalty, feedback and career mean to them.
Today several generations work side by side in a team, and the differences between them don't go away just because nobody talks about them. They differ in worldview, values and career expectations; different things motivate them; loyalty and the workplace community mean different things to them; and they communicate differently. For a leader, these differences become either daily friction or, if handled well, a resource for the team.
The two-day training provides a theoretical foundation and practical skills for the collaboration and leadership situations that arise from generational differences: from the reasons behind the differences, through communication styles and conflict management, to a leadership style and toolkit tailored to each generation.
