Time Management and Personal Effectiveness

This training is for leaders and employees who want to get on top of overload and set their priorities deliberately.

How it works Group · in person or online · Thod support available on request

What is the program about?

A one- or two-day group training, in person or online; also available with Thod support.

If it seems a day should have at least 48 hours and every deadline slips, the days are rarely to blame. Overload usually stems from a lack of conscious time management: there are no clear priorities, saying no is hard, and time wasters quietly eat up the hours.

What you take away: tools for change that fit your situation, and awareness of energy-draining activities; time freed up for rest and recharging, and the experience of a more balanced way of working; a clearer view of tasks and responsibilities.

Time Management and Personal Effectiveness

Who is the program for?

For leaders and employees who want to get on top of overload and set their priorities deliberately. It is especially timely when employees are persistently overloaded and struggle to cope with their tasks.

When is it worth starting?

  • When long-term goals need to be aligned with daily tasks
  • When saying no and defining personal key areas are a challenge.

How we work

The training doesn't start with calendar techniques but with personal goals, because priorities can only be set in relation to them. Then come planning, practicing how to say no and eliminating time wasters, so the workday ends on time and there is time left to recharge.

We also practice planning methods, techniques for saying no, tools for protecting your attention and the use of systems that support time management.

Program topics

  • the philosophy of personal effectiveness
  • personal goals for the future
  • prioritizing for day-to-day work and long-term goals
  • saying no while keeping working relationships intact
  • the role of planning
  • identifying and eliminating time wasters, defining personal key areas
  • using systems that support time management.

Delivery

We tailor the weighting of the topics to the client organization's situation. On request, we support the program with the Thod learning support system, which keeps participants applying what they have learned between training days.

It is also worth starting if:

  • time wasters need to be identified and eliminated through more deliberate planning
  • more time needs to be freed up for rest and recharging.
