Transactional Analysis (TA)
This training is for leaders and team members who want to understand the communication patterns behind their recurring conflicts.
Transactional Analysis (TA)
Licensed / external methodologyBuilding awareness of ego states and relationship patterns.
- Uncovers the patterns behind recurring conflicts
- Builds awareness of communication and behavioral strategies
Transactional analysis (TA) is Eric Berne's theory of personality and communication. Its basic concept is the ego state: we communicate from the Parent, Adult and Child ego states, and every exchange of messages between two people, a transaction, takes place between these states. The model shows where messages come from and where they are directed, why certain conversations go off track, and which recurring games we step into without noticing. The OK Corral describes our basic stance toward ourselves and others, while the script is the life plan that is set early and keeps operating later in life. In the programs, participants work with an ego-state questionnaire, explore their own “package” and use role-plays, so that the pattern behind recurring conflicts becomes visible and connection can happen at an adult level. It is a methodological pillar of GROW's Integrative Coach Training, and we also run it as a standalone training.

What is the program about?
One- or two-day group training, in person or online, covering the fundamentals of Transactional Analysis (TA); also available with Thod support.
What you take away: a deeper understanding of the dynamics of human relationships and conflicts; greater awareness of how you operate and where you get stuck, and a deeper connection with yourself and those around you; concrete tools for coping with problems.
Who is the program for?
For leaders and team members who want to understand the communication patterns behind their recurring conflicts. It is especially timely when team members want to gain deeper self-awareness and become aware of their own patterns.
When is it worth starting?
- recurring, hard-to-handle conflicts characterize workplace relationships
- communication and behavioral strategies and ego states need to be brought into awareness.
How we work
The training starts with an ego-state questionnaire and works from there with your own patterns: which ego state we communicate from, what our OK Corral looks like, and which game we step into again and again without noticing. The goal is to become aware of your own sticking points, not to analyze others.
Some conflicts play out the same way again and again, even with different people. Transactional Analysis (TA) offers an explanation and tools for this: it shows which ego state we communicate from, how we fundamentally relate to our relationships (the OK Corral), and which games are hard to break free from because we step into them without noticing.
The training focuses on self-awareness: participants use the basic concepts of TA to explore and become aware of how they operate. We work with an ego-state questionnaire (egogram), by exploring the life script and personal “baggage,” and through role plays, so that the pattern behind recurring conflicts becomes visible and connection can happen at the Adult level.
